Purim 2012 at Mainsweet Kosher Candy CompanyPurim 2012 is almost here. The days, hours, minutes, and seconds are counting down to one of the most exciting times in the Jewish calendar. Here at Mainsweet we have been gearing up for another busy season. Our shelves are stocked with the latest original models of  kosher chocolate and candy baskets of every imaginable size and shape. Every year I try to come up with some original creations, something more beautiful that my customers will love. If I love it I know they will too. When I step back and look at a basket when it’s done and I like it, then I know it will be a hit and people will want it and appreciate it.

What can I say!? Making candy baskets for Purim or anytime is my passion. Some people think it’s just a business. I can’t tell you it’s not, but it’s certainly not only that. It’s more than fun, it’s  an art. You just get in the zone and when you’re done there it is, a masterpiece. I’m proud of each and every one of my candy baskets creations and I feel good when people buy them and give them. I know I’ve given them something good, something special.

When Purim 2012 will be here, we’ll be pretty tired around here. Thousands and thousands of basket creations will have passed through our hands to be sent all over the world. We think about that then, when it’s all over. It’s a big satisfaction to know that so many people were made happy with something you did. By the time we come to the big meal on Purim and we can sit back and relax it’s exhausting in a good way. Being a part of so many people’s Purim with candy and baskets and platters goes nicely with a glass of wine or two or three. That makes a happy Purim for us here at Mainsweet every time. Then after a day, not more, we’re back to work for Pesach. And so the year goes around and never stops and neither do we get tired of making and delivering quality chocolate and candy baskets for all occasions for all of our dear customers.

Happy Purim 2012!

Yisrael Yakobov
